West Highland Christian Academy encourages leadership and community involvement among all our students. Currently, WHCA has several activities for students.
CHAPEL BUDDY PROGRAM
WHCA fosters Christian relationships among its students through our Chapel Buddy Program. Older students are paired with younger students, giving them the opportunity to mentor, uplift and support them until which time they become the older Chapel Buddy. Chapel Buddies participate in chapel every Friday, package shoe boxes together for Samaritans Purse, and participate in a Chapel Buddy Breakfast prior to the Christmas holidays.
SAFETY PATROL
The school safety patrol gets students involved in the safety of their classmates. Student volunteers monitor our drop-off and pick-up areas and let students and parents know when it is safe to proceed. The program is open to 5th and 6th grade students.
STUDENT COUNCIL
Available to elected students in grades 7th through 12th.
CONCERT BAND
This after-school program is available to students in 4th through 12th grades. Students may use their own instrument or borrow one from the school.
ROBOTICS TEAMS
This after-school program is available to students in all grades. WHCA participates in FIRST, a nonprofit organization which offers team-based robotics programs for ages 4-18 to inspire science and technology learning and interest.
MISSION TRIPS
The purpose of the school mission trip is to inspire WHCA high school students to a new level of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the Great Commission.
